Accepting New Clients

Jennifer is an empathetic, compassionate therapist who hopes to create a collaborative and working relationship with each of her clients. It can be daunting to face one’s sufferings and concerns. However, by walking this journey with you, she hopes that you can build the skills and resilience to face these experiences with newfound hope, understanding, and change. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle and is currently a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

Jennifer believes that everyone is the author of their own story. Therefore, her approach is highly client-centered. She is influenced by CBT, existential approaches, and utilizes structural family systems when working with families. Jennifer has completed her Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and her level one EMDR training.

Jennifer has experience counselling individuals with substance use, medical procedures in hospitals, students and youth engaging in at-risk activities, brain injury, and those struggling with mental health difficulties. As a result, she has developed a sensitivity towards traumatic situations, abuse, and suicide. She also has experience teaching psychoeducation groups. Additionally, she loves working with couples to help increase communication, overcome betrayal, or even work on managing everyday life together. Jennifer is non-status Indigenous and looking to supporting fellow indigenous people.

Jennifer currently sees individual adults, families, couples, teens, and the elderly for a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to trauma, substance use, brain injury, care-giving, OCD, and parenting challenges.
